Our beautifully restored Lodges and Cottages are available for your guests once you've filled up all the rooms in Orchardleigh House, itself; You need to book both floors of the Main House and all the rooms in the East Wing.
As all the Lodges and Cottages on the Estate are available on a first-come-first-served basis, you'll need to book these separately by completing a Booking Form and sending that, along with a 50% deposit payment, when you book your wedding with us.
The rich history of Orchardleigh dates back to the Doomsday Book, and is one of the most unspoilt English Country Estates. Orchardleigh's indefinable English charm is testimony to the estate changing family ownership only twice in 800 years Veiled in a tranquil bowl of parklands and lakes its horizon a sweeping backdrop of rolling hills, the Poet Laureate Sir Henry Newbolt was inspired to write his finest works from his love of Orchardleigh.
Orchardleigh lends itself as either a tranquil retreat with Golf, fishing or painting and numerous walks, or an ideal centre for an active family holiday. The many nearby attractions include the Roman Spa City of Bath (ten miles), the Cathedral city of Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury Tor, Museum and Abbey, Clarke's shopping village at Street, Stourhead House and Gardens, all approximately 30 minutes drive. Stonehenge, Salisbury, Weston-Super-Mare, the Bristol Channel coast and the South Coast are all within an easy travelling distance. Close by is the impressive Longleat Estate and world famous Safari Park.
Garden House
Garden House is a large five bedroom family house, parts of which date back to the 16th Century. It's located in the heart of the Estate in its own private well appointed garden with garden furniture, barbeque plus lots of parking to the side.
On the ground floor there's a comfortable lounge with an open fire place, furnished with a five-piece suite plus double bed sofa, television, VCR plus D.V.D, a large dining room, fitted kitchen with electric cooker, automatic dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge plus freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the utility room. From the lounge, a hallway leads to a downstairs bedroom with adjacent toilet.
Stairs from the hall lead to the first floor of this large house, comprising of four fine bedrooms. Bedroom One offers a king-sized bed; Bedroom two offers a king-sized bed; Bedroom three offers a double king-sized bed and Bedroom four offers two single beds. There are also two bathrooms on this floor.
Rental includes all bed linen, towels, electricity and central heating system.
Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is a large four bedroom family house, parts of which date back to the 16th Century. It's located in the heart of the Estate on the edge of Orchardleigh Village with a private garden with garden furniture and barbeque, plus parking to the front.

Orchardleigh Village
Orchardleigh Village is our latest development - the conversion of the original Victorian stable blocks and courtyard into ten beautiful self-catering cottages in a secluded setting, all with courtyard parking.
All of the lodges have gas central heating system.
All kitchens are well equipped with kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, microwave oven and gas hob with electric oven. All have a full complement of crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Tea towels and hand towels are also supplied.
All Lodges have televisions except The Bull Pen and Wood Cutters.
Rental includes all bed linen, towels, electricity and central heating system.
Gloucester Lodges
The Gloucester Lodges are located at the Lullington entrance to the estate.
A picturesque gothic-style building with three-storey towers to each side of the portcullis latticework wooden gates. There is a landing area with ladders to the towers in each Lodge. The forecourt is surrounded by a semi-circular castellated curtain wall, flanked by machicolated towers forming giant gate piers that envelope the landscaped gardens.
The impressive and opposing Square and spherical Towers that pinnacle the Gloucester Lodges provide a breathtaking roof terrace, ideal for entertaining. Both towers give a glorious view of the surrounding landscape.
On the ground floor both Lodges have magnificent Oak panelled lounges with very large inglenook fireplaces, beautifully appointed kitchen dining rooms, utility room and a Victorian-style bathroom.
Double doors open onto landscaped gardens with furniture plus a barbeque.
The East Lodge offers two double bedrooms on the ground floor plus one twin and one double bedroom on the first floor, along with a luxury decorated Victorian-style bathroom.
The West Lodge offers one double and one twin bedroom on the ground floor and two double bedrooms on the first floor, along with a luxury decorated Victorian-style bathroom.

Murtry Lodges
Both Victorian Period properties located at the main entrance to the estate, Murtry East and West have been meticulously restored to their historic finery, providing exquisite, first class, accommodation.
Murtry Lodge East
Fully fitted kitchen with oven and hob, washer-dryer, fridge freezer plus microwave oven. The lounge offers comfortable three-piece sofa set up plus television with D.V.D. The dining room offers a large dining table with six chairs. The central staircase leads to two fine bedrooms; one double en-suite, plus one twin en-suite. To the rear of the house there's a private patio with garden furniture plus barbeque.
Murtry Lodge West
Fully fitted kitchen with oven plus hob, fridge, microwave oven and dining area to seat four. Off the kitchen is a utility area with WC and washer-dryer. The lounge offers a comfortable three piece suite /sofa bed, television and D.V.D player. The central staircase leads to two bedrooms; one double, one single with bunk beds and a shared Bathroom. To the rear of the house there's a private patio with garden furniture and barbeque.
Rental includes all bed linen, towels, electricity plus central heating system. Further information. All properties have smoke alarms, wardrobes and ample storage.
Electricity, bedding, heating system and towels are included in the rental price of each house. We also provide televisions, video recorders, and music systems.
The kitchens are well equipped with crockery and cooking utensils as well as cleaning materials, tea towels, irons and ironing boards.
Appliances are as listed separately under each house description.In the summer, patio furniture is provided for each house and barbeques are available on request. Prices quoted are per house and for the maximum number allowed in each house, except by prior arrangement with Orchardleigh Cottages.
So that we can properly clean and prepare the house, we ask that you do not arrive before 3.00pm and vacate before 12.00pm. Rental includes all bed linen, towels, electricity and central heating system.
