Large Holiday Accommodation:

Eaton Manor - Eaton-Under-Heywood, Shropshire.

Superbly restored and lavishly decorated with convenience and comfort in mind, the 17th-century Manor House is at the heart of the Eaton Manor Estate in nearly an acre of private, gently rolling gardens, ideal for a game of cricket or an afternoon drink on the lawn. The Eaton Brook flows at the bottom of the well appointed garden, making it a charming spot for wildlife watching or perhaps fishing from the stepping stones during the summer months. This large house itself is no less charming than the grounds, combining a wealth of interesting historic features such as timber framed walls, leaded windows plus original flagstones with modern luxuries such as a sauna plus a well-equipped kitchen for adventurous cooks. The brook is now fenced to keep our youngest guests safe.

The Manor House Accommodation

The Manor House offers five main bedrooms plus the snug, each individually decorated to preserve the warmth and character of the rooms. Downstairs is the Master Bedroom, newly decorated with a stunning six foot double bed plus en-suite bathroom; as well as the Garden Room with twin/double bed and spectacular French windows with glorious views down to the brook.

Upstairs is the Terracotta Room, featuring exposed ceiling beams, original leaded windows and a grand Queen Anne-style mahogany four poster bed for added luxury. The newly refurbished Blue Room offers three single beds or a double plus a single with dramatic views to the Wenlock Edge, while the Green Room offers rustic exposed wall and ceiling beams, a twin/double bed plus beautiful views to the garden. The Snug offers a 4'6 double bed and is accessed through the Green Room, making these two rooms particularly suitable for families or groups.

The rest of this large house is well-appointed with ample room for guests to spread out. The entrance is via the south-west facing conservatory with views of the Wenlock Edge, which leads to the tiled hall and then the dining room featuring an oil-fired Aga and a large oak table seating eighteen - ideal for meals with the whole family.

The new kitchen complete with granite worktops has everything you need to cook up a feast, including a dishwasher, larder fridge, freezer, microwave oven, range cooker with two ovens plus a washer dryer. A stone staircase from the dining room leads down to the salt cellar, the ideal place for muddy boots with access out to the garden. Across the hall from the dining room is the drawing room, a warm and welcoming room complete with original beams and a Victorian range which was discovered bricked into the wall. Of course, there are ample sofas as well as a 42" Free view television, D.V.D player, many books plus some board games for entertaining evenings.

The Manor House offers three bathrooms; the main bathroom on the first floor with bath, shower, sink plus wash stand, a toilet/shower room off the salt cellar, plus the en-suite bathroom to the ground floor master bedroom.

As well as a radio/CD player, Eaton Manor offers its own working 19th-century harmonium, a beautiful instrument ideal for sing-a-longs if there's an organist in your group!

Parking is no problem at the Manor House - we have off-road parking for four vehicles, as well as additional spaces on the drive. It's a no through road, so you won't have to worry about other traffic either.

Set back off a quiet country lane, Pendennis offers the best of both worlds: the convenience of modern facilities with the timeless appeal of a breathtaking location and beautiful grounds. The house is impeccably maintained, with bright and spacious living areas and a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere - enjoy your family or group meal in the stunning dining room, or relax outside in the near acre of tranquil gardens with superb views over the South Shropshire Hills.

Pendennis Accommodation

Pendennis offers 6 bright and airy ground floor bedrooms, all individually decorated. The luxury Rectory and Star Coppice Suites each feature six foot four-poster beds plus en-suite bathrooms, with the bonus of a television in the Rectory Suite.

Comfortable and beautifully decorated, Ragleth and Darby rooms both offer twin beds with co-ordinated covers and cushions.

Particularly suitable for families or groups, Lilywood plus Whitefields rooms offer the flexibility of being either three single beds or a six foot double plus one single - with the added luxury of a television in each room for late-night watching!

As well as offering luxury bedrooms, Pendennis offers ample living space to enjoy. The bright kitchen/dining room is the heart of this large house, ideal for your family or group celebration as it features a fitted kitchen complete with wine plus champagne glasses, a large dining table seating sixteen people and beautiful views down the valley.

Pendennis' main lounge is the large conservatory, with spectacular valley views similar to the kitchen/dining room and French windows leading to the patio plus well appointed garden, to open on balmy summer evenings. When the weather is not so inviting, the conservatory's under-floor heating system ensures it is a cosy place to sit and watch television or perhaps a D.V.D. The second, smaller lounge is an ideal room for enjoying some quiet time with a book.

Pendennis offers four bathrooms; two en-suite shower rooms off Star Coppice and Rectory Suites, a main bathroom with toilet, sink plus bath with overhead shower attachment, and a separate shower plus toilet room adjacent to one twin bedroom.

Pendennis offers ample safe, off-road parking for up to eight vehicles on the private driveway.

Restored with traditional materials by master craftsmen, Curlew Cottage is a picturesque retreat nestling at the heart of the Eaton Manor estate. Inside, the combination of rustic detailing plus comfortable furnishings create a relaxing atmosphere, while outside, the large cottage is set in spacious well appointed gardens running down to the Eaton Brook, with a sunny patio ideal for alfresco dining.

Curlew Cottage Accommodation

Curlew Cottage offers accommodation for eight people in four flexible and adaptable bedrooms. Each room, beautifully colour co-ordinated and with traditional atmospheric oak flooring, offers either a six foot double or two single beds, depending on the needs of our guests.

The focal point of this large cottage is the large dining room with a panelled herringbone brick wall, French windows looking out to the gardens and a solid oak table made by local craftsmen using oak from the estate, ideal for family meals. Just off the dining room is the modern, spacious and well-equipped kitchen, complete with electric cooker, automatic dishwasher, fridge/freezer plus washer dryer.

The lounge is no less inviting than the dining room, with ample sofas, oak flooring, brick and oak walls and French windows with idyllic views to the garden. It's the ideal room to sit back in the evening and watch the Eaton Brook flowing and the sun setting over the valley. The lounge also offers a sofa-bed for occasional guests, plus of course ample books.

Three of the four bathrooms are en-suite shower rooms, while the fourth is the main bathroom with bath/overhead shower.

Curlew Cottage offers ample safe parking for at least four vehicles.

Woodpecker Way is a cosy and comfortable single-storey house, just a short distance from the main Manor House. With its totally up-to-date facilities and smart décor, Woodpecker Way is a perfect hideaway in the idyllic Shropshire countryside.

Woodpecker Way Accommodation

Woodpecker Way is entered through the well-equipped kitchen containing a microwave oven, electric cooker, fridge freezer and washer dryer. The spacious open-plan dining/lounge offers a table seating four and ample comfortable easy chairs two of which open out into single beds for occasional guests. The large patio doors open out to a sunny south-facing patio, complete with barbeque, garden furniture, plus glorious views to nearby meadows and down the valley.

Just off the living area is the bedroom, which features a 6 foot double bed, convertible to two singles if required. The bathroom offers a bath with an overhead shower.

For your convenience, we provide shampoo and shower gel in every bathroom, as well as towels, bed linen and a hairdryer. (Please bring your own towels for the pool).
